A homage to Georgia O’Keefe.

Inspired by the dusty mesas of Santa Fe, this series of handwoven pieces pays homage to the soft and delicate work of Georgia O’Keefe. A palette of muted pinks, steely greys and an occasional metallic thread are complemented by bold strikes of black. Woven using tapestry techniques common in Navajo weaving, this custom cloth was used to refurbish a much loved handbag.

Process.

Handwoven on a 4 shaft loom. Materials; linen, cotton & metallic ribbon.
